On Wednesday, the Senate Environment & Public Works Committee postponed this hearing and has not named a new hearing date.  No information on the cause of the delay has been made available.  ASDWA will share new information as it becomes available.
Next Wednesday, September 20, the Senate Environment & Public Works Committee plans to hear from four nominees for senior EPA posts.  David Ross has been tapped to serve as Assistant Administrator for Water, Matthew Leopold as General Counsel for the Agency, Michael Dourson to serve as the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, and William Wehrum as EPA’s AA for the Office of Air and Radiation.
As reported earlier in the ASDWA Weekly Update, Ross is the present Assistant Attorney General and Director of the Environmental Protection Unit for the Wisconsin Department of Justice.  Since being nominated just two weeks ago, Ross has received positive reaction from his peers and colleagues in a number of states as well as members of the Senate Committee.
