EPA’s draft Strategic Plan for FY 2018-2022 is now available for review and comment. Comments should be submitted electronically, and are due to EPA by October 31st. This draft meets the requirement from the GPRA (Government Performance and Results Act ) Modernization Act of 2010 (P.L. 111-352) to update the Agency’s Strategic Plan every four years.
The draft identifies three strategic goals and several two-year agency priority goals (APGs) to make progress on meeting these goals:

  1. Goal 1 – Core Mission: Deliver real results to provide Americans with clean air, land, and water.
  2. Goal 2 – Cooperative Federalism: Rebalance the power between Washington and the states to create tangible environmental results for the American people.
  3. Goal 3 – Rule of Law and Process: Administer the law, as Congress intended, to refocus the Agency on its statutory obligations under the law.
