EPA Creates New Public Risk Assessment Database

In the spirit of greater transparency, EPA has created the Health & Environmental Research Online (HERO) database designed to provide access to the underlying science used in critical regulatory decisions in air quality standards and chemical regulations.  The more than 300,000 articles and reference documents housed in the HERO database are available to the public.  You may visit the new HERO website at http://www.epa.gov/hero/ to learn more about this latest initiative to enhance transparency in government.  In addition, FAQs about this website are posted at:  http://www.epa.gov/hero/frequentquestions.html.
