New TPL Report on CWSRF Financing for Land Conservation and Nonpoint Source Pollution Projects

The Trust for Public Land (TPL) has published a new report entitled, “Financing Land Conservation with the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) System.”  The report provides a summary and examples of how some states have used the CWSRF and increased their funding amounts for land conservation and nonpoint source (NPS) projects, while noting that other states have not taken advantage of these opportunities.  The report also highlights barriers to CWSRF lending for NPS pollution reduction and offers three sets of policy recommendations for states to address them using three different approaches.
