EPA to Host Tribal Climate Change Webinars

The EPA Office of Policy will begin the consultation process with tribes on its Climate Change Adaptation Plan by hosting a series of three webinars. The Navajo Nation and states that have tribes will want to attend and/or share this information with their tribal communities.
The purpose of these webinars is two-fold: (1) to provide a brief overview of EPA’s efforts to develop an agency-wide Plan, and (2) to listen to tribes in order to understand their perspectives on climate change adaptation planning, priority tribal adaptation needs, and the types of support that would help build adaptive capacity within the tribes.

The webinars will take place at the following dates and times:

  1. Thursday, February 23, 2012: 2:00-3:30pm EST / 11:00am-12:30pm PST

This will include a copy of the draft outline for the EPA Climate Change Adaptation Plan and a copy of the overview presentation to be used on the webinars.
