Request for Nominations of Candidates EPA’s Science Advisory Board (SAB)

A Federal Register notice published this week announced that EPA is seeking nominees for the Science Advisory Board and its Standing Committees. The SAB Drinking Water Committee (DWC) provides advice on the scientific and technical aspects of EPA’s national drinking water program.  The SAB Staff Office is seeking nominations of experts with experience on drinking water issues.  Members should have one or more of the following disciplines: Epidemiology; engineering; microbiology; and public health. The SAB staff Office will be accepting nominations until May 4, 2012. This notice specifically requests nominations for the SAB and SAB Committees from academia, industry, state and tribal governments, research institutes, and non-governmental organizations. The nominees may be state staff, but we encourage you to nominate others with the appropriate expertise that you know could provide good advice to EPA on drinking water issues.

Additional information on the SAB nomination process can be found in the Register notice at http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2012-04-04/pdf/2012-8093.pdf or on their website.
