Time is Running Out…Have You Registered for the November 19-21 Workshop?

ASDWA and EPA-OGWDW are facilitating the Joint National Capacity Development & Operator Certification Workshop in Atlanta, GA on November 19-21, 2013.  This triennial Workshop brings together staff from state capacity development and operator certification programs with EPA Headquarters and Regional personnel as well as training and technical assistance providers to showcase successes, discuss challenges, and identify what’s next for small drinking water systems.

Detailed information about this Workshop including the agenda, hotel reservations, and how to register is on the ASDWA website at www.asdwa.org in the Conferences section. You can also navigate directly to the Workshop page at www.asdwa.org/2013capdevworkshop.  A special block of rooms is available at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta but the block is filling up fast.  The cutoff date to reserve these rooms is October 28th.

Take a look at the variety of topics specifically designed for state capacity development and state operator certification coordinators.  The breadth of the joint sessions is nicely balanced by program-specific concurrent sessions.  For example, there is a joint session on building the capacity of non-community water systems and concurrent sessions on innovative training strategies that consider adult learning and performance-based training as well as a session on using ETT Tracker as a resource in preparing annual capacity development reports.

We hope that you will be able to join us in Atlanta!
