First Call of ASDWA’s New ad hoc Climate Change Committee Held this Week

ASDWA’s new ad hoc Climate Change Committee convened its first call this week with participating representatives from nine state drinking water programs.  During the call, committee members shared information about each of their state’s climate change activities and provided suggestions for developing a committee charter to define the committee’s mission and activities.  Some of the potential activities included sharing information with other states about state drinking water program climate change strategies; sharing education and outreach materials to help water systems make the case for implementing mitigation and adaptation actions; and highlighting opportunities for states to use DWSRF funds and set-asides.  For more information, please contact Deirdre Mason of ASDWA at dmason@asdwa.org.
