EPA Publishes Power Resilience Guide and Video

Earlier this week, EPA released its Power Resiliency Guide for Drinking Water and Wastewater Utilities.  Designed to promote coordination and communication between water sector utilities and their electric utilities as well as provide strategies to increase water utilities’ resilience to power loss, this Guide includes information from water industry professionals on how to increase power resilience in disasters.  The Guide also summarizes some of the best practices, case studies, and tips gleaned from workshops held throughout the country.  In addition, EPA also released a video titled Power to Keep Water Moving.  This approximately 5-minute video provides an overview of the importance of building power resilience at drinking water and wastewater utilities.
