EPA to Hold Public Meeting and Webinar on Managing Cyanotoxins in Drinking Water

EPA published a Federal Register Notice today announcing a public meeting and webinar on Managing Cyanotoxins in Drinking Water that will be held on April 29, 2016, from 10:15am to 1:30pm (eastern time) in Chicago, Illinois (and online).  The goal for the meeting is to obtain input on state, utility, and public experiences and lessons learned after the release of EPA’s June 2015 Recommendations for Public Water Systems to Manage Cyanotoxins in Drinking Water.  The Agency plans to use this information to develop additional tools to support states and public water systems, or make modifications to the current recommendations document.  For additional background information on the two current health advisories for microcystin and cylindrospermopsin, and the recommendations, go HERE.  For more information about the meeting, please contact Hannah Holsinger at (202) 564-0403 or holsinger.hannah@epa.gov.

Space is limited and persons wishing to attend the meeting in person or online via webinar must Register HERE by 5:00pm (eastern time) on April 28th.
