EPA ORD Compiles Drought Info and Activities

EPA’s Office of Research and Development (ORD) has put together a general fact sheet and a technical brief on drought, conservation, and resiliency.  The information portrays EPA HQ and Regional drought and conservation activities across the nation and includes links to additional materials and reference documents.  What began as drought research activities, has quickly morphed into a more comprehensive listing of activities Agency-wide.

The technical brief covers topics ranging from aquifer recharge, water loss, and premise plumbing to watershed management, desalination, and resilience guides as well as numerous other topics.  This first effort may not be an exhaustive list, but it is a very useful in beginning to capture EPA’s drought work to date.  As a next step. ORD plans to update both the technical brief and the fact sheet in 2017.  Please find the two attached documents.
