EPA Tools and Resources Webinar on Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS): Current Assessments and Recent Developments

EPA’s IRIS program provides information on the potential adverse health effects that may result from exposure to chemical substances found in the environment.  The IRIS program is located within EPA’s National Center for Environmental Assessment the Office of Research and Development.  IRIS toxicity information is used by EPA’s program and regional offices to set national standards and clean up hazardous sites. IRIS assessments are the preferred source of toxicity information used by EPA and an important source of toxicity information used by state and local health agencies, other federal agencies, and international health organizations.  IRIS Program Deputy Director Gina Perovich will present select chemicals of interest that have undergone reassessment by the IRIS program within the past five years. The webinar will touch on the current IRIS work plan, and it will highlight recent changes to the program that may affect risk assessors as well.
