EPA Regulations are Possibilities for Rollbacks or Revisions

A story in Monday’s edition of The Washington Post provides some details on potential regulatory rollbacks and some EPA regulations have been suggested by industry for rollbacks.  A presidential memorandum that was signed on January 24th instructed the Commerce Department to determine how to ease permitting regulations with the goal of boosting domestic manufacturing.  Over 160 comments were received and industry gave many specific regulations that are interfering with domestic manufacturing. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) turned out to be one of the primary target of these comments, accounting for nearly half of the comments.
This Post story is separate from EPA’s request for regulations to consider for revisions that was in last Thursday’s Federal Register, and was reported on in ASDWA’s April 14th Weekly Update.  Regulatory reform continues to be a priority issue for the Trump Administration.
