Webinars in November on SDWARS in Preparation for UCMR4

EPA has announced two webinars (November 6 & 8 – see details below) to prepare users for processing data through the Safe Drinking Water Accession and Review System (SDWARS).  SDWARS is the data system that handles monitoring for the fourth Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR4).  Sampling under UCMR4 begins in January.  The first webinar targets water systems users while the second covers laboratories.  State drinking water programs may want to attend the webinars to understand how labs and water systems will be handling data during implementation of the rule, so they can provide assistance if requested.
States can also set up a “state” user account via the Central Data Exchange (CDX) for access to SDWARS, so they can have access to sample results before they are publicly released on the National Contaminant Occurrence Database (NCOD).   If someone within the state already has an account, then you can nominate additional state users.  States with questions or interested in a SDWARS account should email the UCMR_Sampling_Coordinator@epa.gov.  (note: email address includes underscores that are not apparent when shown as a hyperlink).
