Second Partial Government Shutdown Should be Averted

On Thursday (2/14) night, both sides of Congress passed the remaining appropriations bills and sent them to the President for his signature. As of 12:30 PM EST, no news outlets had reported that he had signed the bills, but that is the scenario that everyone “Inside-The-Beltway” is anticipating. Technically, a second partial government shutdown could start at 12:01 AM on Saturday morning, but that scenario appears to have been averted. ASDWA plans to develop a more detailed analysis of EPA’s appropriations next week, after taking some time to digest and analyze the Agency’s appropriations language.
