Upcoming NOAA Harmful Algal Bloom Monitoring Webinar

NOAA is hosting a free webinar next week on their Phytoplankton Monitoring Network, which is a citizen science program in which volunteers are trained to look for the presence of organisms that could potentially cause a harmful algal bloom. This webinar will discuss the methods used to train the volunteers and how the data collected by volunteers is being used to improve models that predict algal bloom occurrence and climate change.
