Healthy Watersheds Consortium Awards 2019 Grants

The Healthy Watersheds Consortium (HWC) has announced nine new grant awards for 2019 totaling $1.52 million that will benefit organizations and partnerships in eight states. The HWC is a partnership between the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities, EPA, and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The purpose of the grants is to accelerate and expand the strategic protection of healthy, freshwater ecosystems and their watersheds (including drinking water sources). This year’s projects will help local communities protect and better manage their working forests and ranchlands in collaboration with water utilities, soil and water conservation districts, and other partners.
