EWG Releases New PFAS Drinking Water Sampling Results Showing More Prevalent Contamination in U.S. Cities

On January 22, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) released new PFAS drinking water sampling results from dozens of cities across the country with the headline, “PFAS Contamination of Drinking Water Far More Prevalent than Previously Reported.” The release is part of an ongoing effort by EWG to test for PFAS, raise public awareness, and call for Federal action. EWG has included a bar graph with the PFAS sample results from each of the cities for 30 different PFAS compounds and updated their map tool now displaying almost 1,400 contamination sites throughout the U.S. For more information and to view the findings, visit the EWG website.
