Source Water Collaborative Webinar: Updates from NRCS and the Northeast: Partnering to Protect Drinking Water

On Thursday, June 4th, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm (eastern time) the national Source Water Collaborative will host a webinar entitled, “Updates from NRCS and the Northeast: Partnering to Protect Drinking Water,” as part of the SWC Learning Exchange on “”SWP Through Conservation Funding.” The webinar agenda will feature the following speakers and topics:

  • Martin Lowenfish and Dee Carlson of NRCS will present information about the upcoming and updated NRCS bulletin on working with states and water utilities to further define the priority source water protection areas for implementing conservation projects to protect drinking water in each state. This will also include details about how NRCS is accounting for the ten percent 2018 Farm Bill drinking water funding requirement.
  • Adam Carpenter of AWWA and Kira Jacobs of EPA Region 1 will highlight their efforts in the Northeast to host “2018 Farm Bill and Source Water Protection” meetings with NRCS, conservation districts, state drinking water programs, and water utilities.
