ASDWA 50th SDWA Anniversary Video with Greg Busch from Maryland
ASDWA’s latest video in our continuing series features Greg Busch, ASDWA’s member and Water Supply Program Manager for the State of Maryland. This continuing series with Travis Loop from Waterloop is being conducted over the course of the year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and the 40th anniversary of ASDWA.
In this video, Greg Busch shares how his experience in the Peace Corps shaped his appreciation for how fortunate we are in the U.S. to have the vast infrastructure to turn on the tap and get clean drinking water. He highlights the need to reflect on the comprehensive regulatory framework and fantastic network of source water protection, water treatment plants, buried pipes, operator certification, and laboratories doing compliance sampling that ensures the water that arrives at our houses is safe.
