Congress Introduces New Bills to Bolster Water System Security and Resilience

H.R. 2594: Establishment of the Water Risk and Resilience Organization
On April 2, 2025, Representative Eric A. Crawford [R-AR-1] introduced H.R. 2594, a bill designed to create a Water Risk and Resilience Organization (WRRO). This organization would be responsible for developing risk and resilience requirements tailored to the water sector. The bill is currently under review by the House Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure and Energy and Commerce.
