EPA Filed Unopposed Court Motion for Additional 30-Day Review of the PFAS NPDWR
On April 8, EPA filed a 30-day “Unopposed Motion to Continue Abeyance,” in the PFAS National Primary Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR) lawsuit to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. The petition for the lawsuit was filed by the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA) in June 2024. The 60-day abeyance granted by the court on February 7, 2025, is now extended for an additional 30 days for the new Agency leadership to continue reviewing the underlying rule. During the review and until a decision is made by the court, EPA is moving forward with PFAS NPDWR implementation as it is currently written. For more information, read the court document here.
