New Video Answers Consumer Questions about Lead Service Line Replacements
For over a decade, the Lead Service Line Replacement Collaborative (LSLRC), of which ASDWA is a member, has advocated for the full removal of lead pipes across the nation. Now, they have released a video that demonstrates exactly what consumers should know in advance of their own service line removals.
The video, which can be found here on their website, walks consumers through everything that a lead service line removal entails. It covers what happens before, during, and after replacements, detailing everything from utility outreach to digging to terrain recovery once the service line has been removed.
The LSLRC encourages water utilities, community-based organizations, state administrators, and more to share and use the video as much as is helpful to consumers.
