EPA Releases FY25 SRF and SUDC Allotments

Today (5/16), EPA released the Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) allotments for both the Safe Drinking Water and Clean Water State Revolving Loan Funds (SRFs) capitalization grants, as well as the allotments for the Small, Underserved, and Disadvantaged Communities (SUDC) grants. In this action, EPA is allotting $8.9 billion in new Clean Water and Drinking Water SRF funding opportunities for FY25. Additionally, EPA is reallotting about $5 million in Clean Water State Revolving Fund Emerging Contaminant funding. This amount does not include $3B funding specifically for lead service line replacement under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), but EPA intends to announce the allocation of that funding later this year. EPA’s appproach for these allotments is detailed in the memorandum below. EPA also released the FY 2025 allotments for the SUDC Grant Program for states and territories. A total of $24.9 million in funding is available under this program, which provides non-competitive grants to states and territories to support water infrastructure improvements and compliance with National Primary Drinking Water Regulations (NPDWRs). Total allotment amounts for each of the 56 eligible states and territories can be found on the SUDC website. Tribal allotments for this program will be released at a later date.
