The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is hiring a Drinking Water and Groundwater Field Supervisor in the Natural Resources Region Program Manager classification within our Environmental Management Division.  This position will be stationed in Green Bay.

Position Summary:   This position is responsible for the management and field supervision of all public water supply aspects of the state drinking water and groundwater program. The position ensures integration of the drinking water and groundwater program with other department programs as a member of the Drinking Water and Groundwater Management Team. The position plays a key role in developing and implementing statewide policy, ensuring public health protection of drinking water consumers and protecting water resources.

This position is responsible for establishing effective working relationships with other supervisors. As a member of the Drinking Water and Groundwater Management Team, the position assists in setting statewide policy on drinking water and groundwater issues and assures consistency and compliance with statewide policy in field activities and operations.

Special Notes:   Employment will require the selected candidate to pass a background check. The DNR does not sponsor work visas, thus, in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.

Qualifications:   To be considered for this position, required qualifications include:
1. Drinking water and groundwater regulation or management experience
2. Training or experience in well construction, bacteriology, and water chemistry

In addition, preferred qualifications include:
1. Leadership experience
2. Experience implementing water policies
