NRDC and National Consumer Law Center to Hold Jan. 19 Webinar on “Water Affordability Advocacy Toolkit”

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and the National Consumer Law Center will host a webinar on January 19 at 2:30 PM ET to take a deep dive into one component of the organizations’ Water Affordability Advocacy Toolkit. According to NRDC, the toolkit “offers a menu of state- and local-level policy solutions that directly address household-level affordability for people served by centralized drinking water or wastewater systems.” The webinar will focus on the Data Collection and Transparency module. Speakers will discuss how to improve access to utility data on water affordability, including data on shutoffs, liens, and arrears, and how these data can be put to use in advocacy. Registration is available online.
