UCLA Luskin Center and RCAP Release Report on National Assessment of Drinking Water Quality Compliance

On Thursday, April 27, the UCLA Luskin Center and the Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCA) released a report that details the considerations for a national assessment of drinking water quality compliance should look like in the future. The key recommendations are in four categories:

  • Quality Compliance Definition and Identification
  • Spatial Location Considerations
  • Compliance Solutions and Their Cost
  • Solution Funding Source Considerations

Conducting the national assessment would require collaboration across the drinking water sector, as well as significant funding to ultimately improve system compliance with the regulations.
