EPA NDWAC Meeting on the Final PFAS Regulation on August 8

In a July 13th Federal Register notice, EPA announced a meeting of its National Drinking Water Advisory Council (NDWAC) to consult with the NDWAC on a final National Primary Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR) for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on Tuesday, August 8, from 10:30 AM-5:00 PM, EDT. The meeting agenda, including other topics for discussion, will be posted on the NDWAC website when available. Members of the public may register here to attend the meeting virtually.

On a separate but related note, the NDWAC is tentatively scheduled to be briefed on the draft recommendations from the NDWAC MDBP Workgroup on Wednesday, October 11, from 1:30-3:30 PM, EDT. The next meeting of the NDWAC Workgroup is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, from 11:00 AM-6:00 PM. The September meeting is intended to include discussions on initial draft report outline and recommendations on revisions to the Surface Water Treatment Rules and the Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rules from the Working Group to the NDWAC, as well as additional discussions on interventions and responses to Working Group requests.
