The presentation will provide a brief overview on the EPA document “Legionella: Current Knowledge on Treatment Technologies” which will characterize the current body of knowledge regarding the use and effectiveness of various available technologies for the treatment and control of Legionella. The document will provide an overview on Legionella’s microbial, epidemiological and other characteristics as well as describe various control approaches for the prevention and remediation of Legionella. The information on treatment technologies will include a characterization of their effectiveness, water quality issues and recommended operational conditions based on the reviewed literature.
