7th National Capacity Development and Operator Certification Workshop

Please join us in Madison, Wisconsin for the 7th National Capacity Development and Operator Certification Workshop co-hosted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Association of State Drinking Water Administrators (ASDWA). The goal of this workshop is to foster coordination and encourage collaboration between the Capacity Development and Operator Certification programs.

Who should attend: EPA, primacy agencies, tribes, and technical assistance providers.

State Travel Support:

Limited Travel Support: ASDWA has limited funds to support state travel to this meeting. To provide assistance to as many individuals as possible:

  • ASDWA will only approve travel reimbursement for one person per state or territory.
  • Expenses will be reimbursed for hotel, airfare, and transportation costs only.
  • Attendees will be responsible for paying the cost of their own meals for the workshop this year.

Approval Timelines: 

  • ASDWA expects to make approval determinations within one week of the date that the travel estimate form is submitted.
  • Approvals will be made on a first come, first served basis, until all the funds are reserved.
  • Do not pay for any travel expenses until you have received an approval (via email) from ASDWA.

Please note the following if you request travel support:

  • Ensure you have approval from your program Administrator to attend the meeting. A copy of your approval will be shared with your primacy agency Administrator.
  • Before submission, you will be asked to confirm you have read ASDWA’s Reimbursement Policy. Please take this important step, so you know what will and will not be covered. Receipts are required for all expenses. A copy is linked to the submission form and online here: ASDWA-Reimbursement-Policy.pdf.
  • You must complete an ASDWA Travel Expense Reimbursement Form (jotform.com) within 30 days after travel. ASDWA will process reimbursements within 30 days of submission.
