Register Now for ASDWA’s 2011 Annual Conference!

Registration is now open for ASDWA’s 2011 Annual Conference!  This year’s conference is being held October 17-20, 2011 in Minneapolis, MN.  The meeting will feature updates and presentations on the full range of cutting edge topics of interest to state drinking water program administrators and their staffs.  We will share an initial draft of the agenda shortly, but the general layout of the conference will be as follows:

October 16:  ASDWA Board Meeting (open to all administrators)
October 17:  States Only Meeting; State-EPA Roundtable; ASDWA committees
October 18:  Morning plenary session; concurrent sessions in the afternoon
October 19:  Concurrent sessions all day
October 20:  Concurrent early morning sessions; late morning plenary session; afternoon laboratory workshop (see below)

  • Registration Options:  You may register online HERE [link to online form], or go to www.asdwa.org/Conferences to download a fillable registration form to be submitted by email or fax.  Early registration discounts are available for all attendees.  You must register by COB September 1st to get the discounted rate.
  • Hotel:  The Minneapolis Marriott City Center (located at 30 South Seventh St. Minneapolis, MN 55402) is holding a block of rooms at a rate of $169.00 (plus tax) per night.  This rate is available only through September 26, 2011.  You must make your own reservations by calling the hotel directly at (506) 474-2009 or toll free at (800) 266-9432 — or book your room online through Marriott’s Booking Portal, linked at ASDWA’s web site.  Please indicate that you will be attending the ASDWA Annual Conference when making reservations.
  • Laboratory Data Assessment Workshop:  In cooperation with the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), we have added a half day seminar on data review for state drinking water programs to our Annual Conference schedule.  The seminar will be held Thursday afternoon, after the regular conference session ends.  This workshop will address ways to determine the quality of environmental laboratory data reported to water quality programs.  Participants will learn concepts related to the verification and validation of laboratory test results reported to federal, state and municipal compliance & monitoring programs.   A specific focus will include automated tools available for use with electronic data deliverables.   Please link to the APHL registration page on ASDWA’s Annual Conference registration page above.
