ASDWA Joins Other State and Local Groups in Advocating for Greater SRF Funding Levels

Identical letters (attached) were sent on April 3rd to the Senate and House Appropriations Subcommittees, respectively, from 12 state and local organizations, including ASDWA.  The letters urge Congress to appropriate funds in FY 2015 for the Drinking Water and Clean Water State Revolving Loan Funds at a least the levels appropriated in Fiscal Year 2014 ($1.45 billion and $907 million, respectively) based on the demonstrated need for water and wastewater infrastructure and the beneficial impact of investment in this sector on the economy.  The letter also urges the appropriators to fund the Section 319 nonpoint source pollution grant fund at last year’s levels, $159 million.
