Court Extends EPA’s Deadline for Final Perchlorate Regulation

On October 1st, the U.S. District Court (Southern District of New York) extended EPA’s deadline for the final perchlorate regulation from December 19, 2019 until June 19, 2020. EPA’s comment period for the perchlorate proposal closed on August 26th, and this extension allows EPA to analyze those comments and develop an appropriate final perchlorate regulation.
