Delaware Proposes PFOA and PFOS MCL Implementation Plan

The Delaware Health and Social Services Division of Public Health has published a proposed implementation plan for enforceable PFOA and PFOS drinking water maximum contaminant levels (MCLs). The timeline for the plan started with stakeholder engagement in February 2022 with final determinations to be made by 2022 and water system sampling starting in spring 2023.

The proposed MCLs are:

  • 14 ppt PFOS
  • 21 ppt PFOA
  • 17 ppt PFOS + PFOA (combined)
