Fix a Leak Week

March 16-22, 2015 is “Fix a Leak Week.”  As part of the WaterSense program, this celebration focuses on encouraging consumers to find and fix common household links.  The average American household could be wasting more than 10,000 gallons of water each year from leaks.  That’s more than 1 trillion gallons of water wasted nationwide.
WaterSense partners from across the country are sponsoring running races, hands-on demonstrations, student contests and other community events to raise awareness about the need to fix leaking plumbing and irrigation fixtures.  To kick things off, @EPAWaterSense will host its annual “#Fixaleak Week Twitter Party” on March 16 from 2-3 p.m. Eastern. Use the hashtag #fixaleak to help spread the word about the importance of fixing leaks. Learn more about WaterSense and fixing leaks here.
