USA Today Story on Legionnaires’ Standard Dispute

On Monday, July 9th, USA Today published a story on a dispute on a Legionnaires’ standard being developed by NSF International. This dispute revolves around a partnership agreement between NSF International and Homeyer Consulting Services and the relationship between NSF’s for-profit subsidiary and its non-profit arm that is developing the standard. Some organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Veterans Administration (VA) and the Mayo Clinic have resigned from the committee that is developing the standard that is central to the dispute.
