House Extends Continuing Resolution to December 20th

The House passed a stopgap funding measure this afternoon that would extend the deadline for a 2020 spending deal to just days before Christmas. The bill would continue current funding levels through December 20th with some exceptions, such as 2020 Census preparations. The bill heads to the Senate later this week and is expected to be on the President’s desk for signature before the existing continuing resolutions runs out on Thursday night.
